Advising
Advising
Undergraduate Students
Upon admission into SILS, undergraduate majors are assigned to academic advisors from the SILS faculty by the Undergraduate Committee. Students should meet with their advisors each semester prior to course registration to review course choices and their academic plan. Please refer to the BSIS Academic Worksheet to assist in course planning.
For students who wish to change advisors, please do so using the Change of Academic Advisor Notification on the Forms page.
Prior to applying for graduation, all students should meet with the Undergraduate Student Services Manager to ensure that all major and General Education requirements have been met.
Graduate Students
Masters and Doctoral students are assigned advisors during the admissions process. Advisor assignment is based off the area of interest noted in the students application. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisor each semester to discuss class choices. Please see the Courses page to find course descriptions, frequency, and the current semesters schedule.
Students who wish to change advisors can do so using the Change of Academic Advisor Notification on the Forms page.
