Statistical Software

SILS lab computers are updated yearly with JMP statistical software.  In order to install JMP on a personal computer UNC students must first obtain a JMP license at https://software.unc.edu/jmp.  To expedite the installation, SILS students may borrow the JMP installation CD from the SILS Help Desk.

A list of statistical applications available through the ITS Virtual Lab service can be found here: http://help.unc.edu/CCM3_031718.  Access the ITS Virtual Lab at https://virtuallab.unc.edu.

Additional statistical applications and services are available in the Odum Institute for Research in Social Science located on the bottom level of Manning Hall.   Many more specialized applications are available remotely at any time through the Odum Institute's VCL service. This includes SPSS, ArcGIS/ENVI+IDL/SAS, Atlas.ti, NVivo, HLM/LISREL/MULTILOG, LaTeX, Mathematica, and MATLAB. To connect visit http://vcl.unc.edu.

The Odum Institue offers a variety of statistical, qualitative and GIS services including short courses on grants, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, spatial analysis, statistical computing and survey research. For more information see the Odum Institute's web page.
