There are two ways to access your Duck folder (what you see as the H: drive in the Lab) from outside of SILS.
[ http://sils.unc.edu/itrc/its/faq.php?id=4629 ] Using FTP:
Connect to the host duck.ils.unc.edu . Your username is ad\onyen. Your password is your onyen password. Please note that you must have logged on locally before you can FTP files remotely.
Once you connect to Duck, you'll be in the FTP root directory and will see simply a slash in the remote site path. From here, type in
home/onyen
(replacing onyen with your onyen) after the slash. This will allow you to read from and write to your directory on Duck.
[ http://sils.unc.edu/itrc/its/faq.php?id=4626 ] Using VPN:
Establish a [ http://sils.unc.edu/itrc/its/faq.php?id=4626 ] VPN connection, then follow [ http://sils.unc.edu/itrc/its/faq.php?id=4701 ] these instructions to map a directory on Duck as a network drive.
