 Burning a CD from the Mac


Insert a Blank CD

Press the Eject key in the upper right corner of the keyboard and insert a blank CD into the drive. After you close the drive, a CD icon appears on the desktop.

Double-click the icon to open the CD window.

Select Files

Drag the files you want to copy to the CD window and organize them as you want them to appear on the disc.

Burn the Disc

When you're ready to burn the disc, click the Burn button in the upper right corner. A confirmation dialog box will appear. In the Disc Name: field, type in a name for your CD. Click the Burn button to start the burning process.

A dialog box will appear to show the progress of the burning process. It may take several minutes for the computer to finish burning the disc.

When the burn is completed, an icon of your CD will appear on the desktop.

To eject your CD, drag its icon from desktop to the Trash. As you drag the icon to the Trash, the Trash icon changes from a trash can to the Eject icon.
