SILS Lab - General Use Area & Collaboratory

The SILS Computer Lab houses a General Use Area and the SILS Student Collaboratory for student collaborative work.

General Use Area

The General Use Area offers a variety of computer workstations including Dell Optiplex PCs running Windows Vista and Apple iMacs. Desk space, power outlets, and Ethernet cables are also available for laptop users. Several computers in this area have multimedia equipment and software including DVD burners and video editing applications.

SILS Collaboratory

The SILS Student Collaboratory is available for students working in teams or on group projects. This space provides large screen flat panel displays and a white board, and also includes mobile furniture designed for work space flexibility. Students may write their names on the schedule at the Help Desk to reserve this space. The Collaboratory can also be reserved for specific course assignments.
