Award Books
The Caldecott medal annually goes to the best illustrated American picture book. This illustrated and annotated guide lists each year's Caldecott medal winner, the illustrator of the book, and the call number.
Established in 1936 in memory of Andrew Carnegie, this Medal is awarded each year to an outstanding children's book author. SILS owns most titles and the call numbers of those books are listed.
Coretta Scott King Book Award: Author
This award is given annually to an African American author for outstanding inspirational and educational contributions. This illustrated and annotated guide lists each year's Coretta Scott King author award, and the call number.

This award is given annually to an African American illustrator for outstanding inspirational and educational contributions that promote understanding and appreciation of the culture of all peoples. Named after a 19th century artist known for her children's illustrations and designs, this medal was established in 1955 for distinguished illustration in a children's book. This brochure lists the year, author, title, publisher, and SILS call number. SILS has most titles.

This brochure lists all the books which have been awarded the Sibert Information Book Award. It is awarded to the author and illustrator of the most distinguished informational book published in English during the year. The SILS library call number is listed next to each title.
