Inter-Library Loan

Off-Campus Patrons

Off-Campus Patrons (people not affiliated with UNC-CH) who wish to borrow materials from SILS Library should address such requests to their local library. The local library will initiate inter-library loan procedures. Information about ILL procedures for off campus patrons is available through the Academic Affairs Library under the "Services" option, or directly from the Main Library's Interlibrary Lending Department information page.

Please do not call the SILS Library - we cannot handle these requests.

UNC-CH Patrons

UNC-CH faculty, staff, or students needing to borrow a book or get a photocopy of an article that is not held in our libraries, may use the online request service available from Interlibrary Borrowing Services to request the material from another library. For questions or problems with using the system, please inquire at the Davis Library Reference desk (962-1326). Patrons affiliated with Health Affairs or Law should use the inter-library loan services available at the Health Science Library (966-4998) or at the Law Library Circulation Desk (962-1191).
