The Student Chapter of the American Library Association (SCALA) announces its annual book sale!
The book sale is an annual event that helps raise money for SILS student organizations. For this year's booksale, SCALA is also partnering with the Internationalist Prison Books Collective, a volunteer-run organization in Chapel Hill that gives free books to inmates in Mississippi and Alabama.
The sale will take place Tuesday, March 27 through Thursday, March 29, from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day (weather permitting) between Manning Hall and the Lenoir building.
SCALA members are collecting donated books for the sale and will gratefully accept donations until the sale begins. The group will accept donations of books, CDs, movies etc. up to the sale. A collection barrel is located in the foyer of Manning Hall (The Public Domain) or you may drop books off near Pete Ramsey's workstation in the west side of Reference (behind Circulation) in the Davis Library.
For donations of books that require a pick-up, please contact Biff Hollingsworth at: dbch@email.unc.edu
Be sure to stop by the book sale early for the best selection!
