SILS students, professor inducted into Frank Porter Graham Honor Society
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Frank Porter Graham Honor Society has inducted three members of the School of Information and Library Science (SILS) community into its ranks.
Francis Carroll McColl Term Professor and Senior Associate Dean Paul Solomon, doctoral student Xin Fu (both pictured at left, with society treasurer and SILS student Cassidy Sugimoto) and master’s student Amy Thompson joined the society at an induction ceremony on April 10.
Founded in 1990, the Frank Porter Graham Honor Society recognizes individuals in UNC at Chapel Hill's graduate and professional schools for exceptional service and dedication to the University and their schools.
The society is named after former UNC president and North Carolina senator Frank Porter Graham.
