Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 has been proclaimed Veteran's Day, and the week of Nov. 9 – 15 has been designated National Veterans Awareness Week. These are days devoted to honor those who serve or who have served our country in uniform.
The ROTC of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will honor veterans during a special tribute on Nov. 11 at Gerard Hall. The color guard will assemble outside at 10:40 a.m. before entering the Hall for the ceremony slated for 11 a.m. A reception will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
