Searls, blogger and best-selling author,
to visit UNC
Aug. 31, 2004 — Doc Searls, senior editor of Linux Journal and noted blogger, will visit the UNC campus Sept. 7. Searls runs the new online publication Doc Searls' IT Garage and is the co-author of The New York Times best seller The Cluetrain Manifesto: The End of Business as Usual .
His talk, "The Independence Revolution: How Self-Informing Markets Are Changing Business, Technology, Politics and Everything Else," will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Pleasants Family Room of Wilson Library.
