Honoring those who served

Nov. 6, 2009 - Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 has been proclaimed Veteran's Day by President Obama. This is a day devoted to honoring those who serve or who have served our country in uniform.

The ROTC of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will honor veterans during a special tribute on Nov. 11 at the Carolina Alumni Memorial in Memory of Those Lost in Military Service on Cameron Avenue. The color guard representing the Air Force, Naval/Marine and Army – will assemble outside Gerrard Hall at 10:40 a.m. before entering the Hall for the ceremony slated for 11 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
