SILS student featured in The News & Observer

Christopher Liang, an undergraduate student in the School of Information and Library Science, was recently featured in an article in The (Raleigh) News & Observer.

Liang was interviewed for the April 5 article, “Class Project Profiles State's Asian Population,” about his contributions to a publication created in “Asia in North Carolina,” a course at UNC. Dan Duffy, a graduate student in anthropology, teaches the Asian studies course.

The 36-page publication profiles Asian businesses and art organizations in the state and gives an overview of the state's Asian population. Liang helped compile the section on Asian businesses.

The article can be accessed through the paper's online archives at www.newsandobserver.com .
