Presenting holiday party PIX . . .

The annual holiday party for the School of Information and Library Science was held Dec. 12, featuring the Faculty Skit, written by SILS students Lewis Dorman, Kristen Wilson and Jessica Zellers and performed on demand by school faculty. The gingerbread Manning Hall created by Dr. Brian Sturm was one of many desserts. My, what amazing bakers! Happy Holidays!

"It's the final round of annual end-of-semester Arm Wrestling Tournament!" exclaims Stephanie Haas,
far right, with Rebecca Vargha (in red). At table, (l-r) Dean Marshall and Barbara Wildemuth belt it out.
"I won the tournament, and I'm choosing the song! declares Dean Marshall. "Let's sing `Winter Wonderland.'"
Jeffrey Pomerantz, far left, defers to the wishes of senior faculty (l-r) Claudia Gollop, Evelyn Daniel
and Barbara Moran, as they review the semester's challenges.
Paul Solomon (aka Special Agent Solomon), equipped with a warrant granted under the Patriot Act, removes all scripts for possible unAmericanism. Says Solomon: "I declare this play to be over!"
The crowd erupts in applause
(grades obviously are not in yet).

The song began like this:
"Here at SILS, are you listening?
You're in class, but you're missing
The point of it all,
Cause you made it through fall,
And you're dreaming of a winter wonderland."

All the tired, dear students were invited to take a piece of Manning Hall to relish with their hot cider and visions of sugar plums.
