Enrollment Options for School Library Media Coordinator Program
There are three ways to obtain the School Library Media Certification: as part of your studies for the MSLS; through a License-only program for those who possess an MSLS and need only a few more courses to satisfy requirements; or through the Certificate of Advanced Study for those who possess an MSLS but need to complete a larger number of the requirements.
Applicants with a Master's degree in library science may only need to take a few courses to satisfy requirements. If the courses are offered on-campus at UNC at Chapel Hill, enrollment is through The Friday Center/Continuing Education. Information about registering for on-campus courses in provided in the Part-Time Classroom Studies section.
For tuition information, please visit the University Cashier.
To register, you will need the course number, the section number, the name of the course, and the call number. For example:
|Course Number||Section Number||Course Name||Call Number|
|INLS 744||02W||School Libraries||96711|
For all professional courses like this one, permission of the instructor is required. Please contact the school library program director Sandra Hughes-Hassell (firstname.lastname@example.org).
