SILSAA Membership
All graduates of the UNC School of Information and Library Science (SILS) become members of the SILS Alumni Association (SILSAA) automatically upon graduation.
On September 17, 2011, the School's 80th anniversary, SILS conveyed special recognition to alumni, parents, and former deans who purchased or were awarded lifetime membership to SILSAA prior to 2011, when the organization transitioned from a dues-paying membership model to one that is all-inclusive. The names of these very special alumni and friends are included on a handsomely framed commemorative document, which is proudly and prominently displayed in Manning Hall.
