Please join us in the SILS Library for a book talk by Professor George Houston about his newest book, Inside Roman Libraries: Book Collections and Their Management in Antiquity. He will discuss his methodology and describe the process of reconstructing ancient book collections.

George W. Houston is Professor of Classics Emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research interests include Latin literature, Roman technology, and libraries and book collections in the Roman world. Inside Roman Libraries: Book Collections and Their Management in Antiquity (University of North Carolina Press) was published in November 2014.
