Carolina Cornucopia: A Conference on Foodways of the Tar Heel State
May 29 and 30, 2015
William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education

Sponsored by the North Carolina Collection, Wilson Library
Advance registration required: http://ncfoodways.web.unc.edu/

A look at how we prepare, eat and talk about food across the Old North State. What’s traditional and what’s new? What are regional varieties within the state? How do cookbooks create and reflect communities? Cooks, writers, filmmakers, historians and others will address these questions and more.

All panels are free and open to the public. An optional wine reception and dinner on Friday night ($40/person) will feature North Carolina ingredients and conversation with UNC-TV’s Bob Garner and food columnist Carroll Leggett. They’ll share their  best food finds along the highways and backroads of the Old North State. #NCfood15
