November 16, 2015 9:15 am to 10:00 am
SILS Library - Manning Hall

To kick off the week, Professor Brian Sturm, renowned storyteller, will tell folktales from around the world, and he’ll be joined by PhD student Sara Beth Nelson. They’ll share stories from countries YOU can study in as a SILS student! Stories featured will include: Boudica's Final Speech (England), Pheasants and the Bell (S. Korea), Magic Pears and the Magic Whistle (Spain), The Cat’s Tail (Singapore), Pig and Bear in Business (Czech Republic), Origin of Fire (Chile), and What the Old Man Does is Always Right (Denmark). Stop by and grab a cup of coffee. Stay for the entire session, or come and go as it suits your schedule.
