Title: "Adapting to Higher Education in a New Culture: International Students' Perspectives on Research, Writing, and Academic Integrity"

Abstract:  This study explores the cultural adaptation of international students studying in the United States at three North Carolina universities, with a particular focus on how they conduct their academic research and writing, and how they perceive and negotiate issues of academic integrity in the process. Critical incident technique and semi-structured interviews were used to collect and analyze data. Findings were interpreted using Kim's cross-cultural adaptation theory.
