Open Access Week @ UNC

October 22, 2018 9:00 am to October 26, 2018 5:00 pm
Davis Library Research Hub & other locations on campus

Join us for a week of celebration and engagement with the Open Access community at Carolina. UNC Libraries, in partnership with the WiderNet Project, has a unique series of interactive events planned around the International Open Access Week theme: "Designing Equitable Foundations for Open Knowledge."

Presentations will explore methods of information liberation that allow educational breakthroughs in underserved communities. We will highlight the WiderNet Project, producers of the eGranary, which brings vast, curated information resources to people in locations outside of the digital divide.

Participants will also learn how to get involved in Open Access initiatives on campus and globally.
