Safe Zone is a program designed to create a network of visible allies to people who identify as part of the diverse LGBTQ+ community. The four-hour educational session provides information and resources related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. In this safe zone, we will specifically cover scenarios relevant to Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, and mentors of LGBTQ+ undergraduate students.

The LGBTQ Center does not provide refreshments during the training, but please feel free to bring a meal or snack if you wish. There will be a 15 minute break at the midpoint of the training, feel free to bring a snack or something to eat.
