The university will be notified whether or not a proposal submission has been selected for funding. The PI and SILS will be notified when an account has been created and the project may begin. Exceptions to the approved budget and scope of the projects must be approved by the university in advance. Budget revision requests should be submitted to Martha Martin. PIs are given access to Infoporte, which will provide financial information for their grants. Ultimately it is the responsibility of the PI to ensure the budget/cost share requirements are being met in a timely fashion. Questions should be directed to Martha Martin as soon as they occur. There is a 90 day federal limit on making payroll adjustments to federally funded projects. Therefore, it is crucial that expenses are analyzed in a timely manner.
