BSIS major Elizabeth Sams was recently awarded an honorable mention in the Computing Research Association’s Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award for 2011. A list of the winners will be published in the January 2011 issue of Computing News.
Winners must be nominated by two faculty members and recommended by the chair of their home department. Undergraduates whose work is exemplary are awarded Honorable Mentions.
The CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Research Award recognizes undergraduates who show outstanding research potential in an area of computing research. Sams submitted a detailed history of her research background.
