Congratulations to Dorothy (Dot) Carr Porter (MSLS '02) who on Dec. 8, 2009 gave birth to a son, Andrew Duncan Porter, in Dublin, Ireland. He was 9 lb. 9 oz and 22 inches long.
Dot is the Metadata Manager at the Digital Humanities Observatory (DHO), a project of the Royal Irish Academy. It serves the HSIS Consortium (Humanities Serving Irish Society), a consortium that consists of all the higher education institutions in all of Ireland (both the Republic and Northern Ireland). The DHO supports digital humanities work by offering workshops of various sorts as well as project consultations.
