March 17, 2010

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Library is hosting an open house
in honor of Earth Day and National Library Week on Wednesday, April 21st, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.Photo of Earth Day

The open house, which is located in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), will feature library demonstrations, a book swap and refreshments. The event will also focus on the latest in information resources, services and their delivery to researchers. The open house and Earth Day Celebration have been held for several years as an opportunity to promote library services and upcoming events to patrons. Nearly 400 EPA scientists attended the last year's open house.

SILS staff and students are invited to attend the open house, but the EPA requests advance notice so security can be informed as a courtesy. Each attendee will be asked to sign in as well. All EPA staff and contractors are invited to the open house.

SILS recommends that everyone travel via carpool to keep it green.
