Speed networking - connecting students with alumni in the field

Do you want to know what it's like to step out into the world of librarianship and information science after you leave the hallowed halls of Manning behind? Want to network with experienced people in your field? Want to find out more about what it's like to have that dream job?  Come to the SILS Alumni Association's Speed Networking event to find out!

Mentors who work in the fields of library and information science bring their vast stores of knowledge and a stack of business cards to the event.  SILS students bring their questions and curiosity. Following a “speed dating” format, each student gets three minutes of question-and-answer time with each mentor, followed by a pizza reception afterwards (so you can go back and talk to the person with that oh-so-awesome job you want to know more about).

It's a great opportunity to network, learn, and eat pizza.  Please join in on the fun in the Pleasants Family Room in Wilson Library on Tuesday, March 16, from 4:00 until 6:30!
