Manning Hall building enhancements

June 17, 2010

This summer Manning Hall has undergone a significant facelift with the addition of new paint, carpeting and furniture throughout the building. These additions could not have come at a better time, as some of Manning's walls, floors and stairwells were beginning to show their age.

The SILS computer labs benefit from the addition of new desks and chairs.

Some of the carpet in Manning Hall's offices was more than 30-years-old. It has been replaced with brand new, brown-patterned carpeting. There is fresh paint on the walls throughout the building, as well as new chairs in the SILS computer labs on the first and third floors, in the administrative offices and in the Library.

The additions include modular and reconfigurable furniture to better utilize our lab and library space.

Soft seating will be added in the SILS Library within the next week or so. These additions to the building make it a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing space for students, faculty and staff to call home.

A special thank you to faculty, staff and some students who have had to pack, un-pack and re-pack their desks and offices during the enhancement process.
