Baker & Taylor, a leading worldwide distributor of books, video, music and games, has graciously offered scholarships for our international summer seminars to London and Prague, and this summer will be offering funding for a summer internship at the Mohammed VI Library at the Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. All UNC at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science graduate students (Master’s students must be in their second year with a minimum of 24 credit hours) are invited to apply.
The student awarded the position will have the opportunity to work for four (4) to six (6) weeks at AUI on a variety of activities including assisting with plans to implement an institutional archives. Students with a background in archives are encouraged to apply. Preferred start date will be May 16th.
The Morocco summer internship includes a stipend of $4850. The stipend is intended to be used to defray the cost of air fare, meals and other expenses. Housing will be provided.
