The Information & Library Science Student Association (ILSSA) is taking orders for the popular Dewey Decimators T-Shirts. You do not have to be an official Dewey Decimator in order to rock the shirt and generally decimate things in awesome librarian ways!
The shirts feature a ram shushing loud friends, "Dewey Decimators" on the front, "Library Schooled" and your choice of call number and three initials on the back.
To place the order, we need a minimum of 36 shirts. At this point, we have only received orders for 12 shirts. I will not begin collecting payment until we have reached 36. Payment can be made using the Web site Evenly (more information on the order form) or by cash or check.
Each shirt is $20 and can be ordered at this link. To order more than one shirt, just fill out the Google form more than once. These shirts make great gifts. Also, please pass the link to the order form along to any other librarians who may want one of these shirts; many of the public librarians in the area LOVE them, so don't leave your friends and colleagues out.
All orders must be placed by midnight on Thursday, November 8. Shirts will be available on Monday, December 2. If you can't pick up your order before winter break, I'm happy to hold it for you until the new year.
If you're having trouble selecting a call number, I suggest searching for the title of a book at a public library Web site such as http://catalog.chapelhillpubliclibrary.org/. Find the call number and then look it up at http://dewey.info/ to determine the subject heading.
Feel free to e-mail me off-list with any questions!
