Jennifer Goforth, SILS Alumna, New Research and Design Services Librarian at University Libraries

Jennie GoforthAlumna of the School of Information and Library Science at UNC at Chapel Hill, Jennifer Goforth (MSLS '10), has been appointed Research and Design Services Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Libraries, effective July 1.

Working with a team of librarians at the R.B. House Undergraduate Library, Goforth is helping to shape the provision of research and technology services geared toward undergraduates. She leads day-to-day activities of the Undergraduate Library Reference Desk and Design Lab, delivers instruction and contributes to the development of online instructional materials.

Goforth most recently was instructor and Web librarian at the University Library at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.

She holds an M.S.L.S. from the School of Information and Library Science at UNC and a B.A. in Anthropology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va..
