Josiah Drewry, SILS Alumnus, Appointed Social Sciences Librarian at University Libraries

Josiah DrewryJosiah Drewry (MSLS '07), alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science, has been appointed Social Sciences Librarian at UNC's University Libraries, effective August 1.

As social sciences librarian, Drewry joined the Davis Library Research and Instructional Services department as the subject librarian for the departments of Sociology and Political Science. He  applies state-of-the-art-technology to reference and research work, innovative outreach, evolving collection development and dynamic data services.

Prior to this appointment, Drewry served as user experience librarian at the American University in Cairo in Cairo, Egypt, and as librarian for outreach and instruction at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco.

He holds a B.A. in psychology and an M.S.L.S. from the School of Information and Library Science at UNC.
