If you've not yet developed your Vine video to enter into the contest sponsored by the School of Information and Library Science, begin creating!
It's easy to do. Just use your video camera or your cell phone's video capability, or borrow the SILS Lab camera and:
1. Create a Vine loop that promotes SILS. It should be both informative and creative.
2. Post it to Vine and also to Twitter and/or Facebook.
3. Send an e-mail to Wanda Monroe (email@example.com) pointing to the Vine loop.
On October 1, Dean Gary Marchionini will announce his favorite three loops and the winners will receive $50, $25, and $10 gift cards. He will judge your efforts based on how well the loop captures the spirit and promise of SILS and the cleverness/creativity of the video loop.
On November 1, Dean Marchionini will make three more awards to the top three viewed loops on Vine with $50, $25 and $10 gift cards going to the most viewed (self-promotion encouraged!).
