SILS Alumna, Anne Less, appointed E-Team Innovation Program Manager at Google, Inc.

Anne LessAnne Less (MSLS ’08), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science (SILS) alumna, has been appointed E-Team Innovation Program Manager at Google, Inc.

In her position, Less develops collaborative knowledge-sharing systems, in order to ensure that Google teams efficiently and effectively achieve rigorous sustainability goals.  She is the Innovation Program Manager for Google’s Real Estate & Workplace Services E-Team, which integrates insight and resources into design, construction and operations, so the organization can deliver extraordinary environments, experience and ecology. 

Previous work has included development of Google’s Healthy Materials Program, knowledge management at the U.S. Green Building Council and IBM, and library research at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
 
“SILS provided me with the knowledge necessary to apply the fundamentals of library science in non-traditional environments,” said Less.  “My experience as an intern at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Library in Research Triangle Park was especially influential in informing my career path.”
