SILS Professor David Gotz Co-Edits JAMIA Issue

David Gotz, associate professor at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science (SILS) and assistant director of the Carolina Health Informatics Program (CHIP), co-edited the March 2015 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association

The issue focused on the visualization of healthcare data to assist clinicians and administrators in decision making and the utilization electronic health records for clinical decision support and research.

Gotz and Jesus Caban, Chief of Clinical and Research Informatics at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), co-wrote an introductory editorial for the issue titled “Visual analytics in healthcare – opportunities and research challenges.”
