SILS Distinguished Research Professor Joanne Gard Marshall is first-author on a research paper selected by the Medical Library Association (MLA) as the second best among those presented at the MLA 2017 annual meeting in Seattle. The paper, titled “The Role of MEDLINE in Patient Care: Results of a Secondary Analysis of the Value of Libraries Study," will be published in the Journal of the Medical Library Association in October 2017.
Marshall and her co-authors Kathel Dunn (MSLS ’91), Joyce Backus, and Amber Wells found that the MEDLINE database created by the National Library of Medicine continues to be a key resource for clinical decision-making.
