while master's student and COYL Vice President Mara Rosenberg listens.

The Coalition of Youth Librarians (COYL) hosted its annual Banned Book Reading on Sept. 25, part of the First Amendment Day celebration organized by UNC Center for Media Law and Policy.

In addition to SILS students, Chancellor Carol Folt and SILS Dean Gary Marchionini shared passages from some of their favorite banned titles. And Tango Makes Three, The Hate U Give, and Sex is a Funny Word were among the books selected. Click here for more photos.
