PhD student and storyteller Sarah Beth Nelson profiled by Endeavors magazine

UNC School of Information and Library Science (SILS) Doctoral Candidate Sarah Beth Nelson grew up with a passion for listening and retelling stories, which eventually led her to library and information science.

A recent feature by Endeavors magazine highlights Nelson’s research, and her participation in Carapace, a storytelling event held at Manuel’s Tavern in Atlanta, Georgia. Instead of treating information and the bodies of those who share and interact with it separately, Nelson points out that events like Carapace reveal the deep physical and emotional connections between information and its sources.
