Rebecca Vargha moderates “From Data to Advocacy” session at IFLA

October 4, 2018

Rebecca Vargha, Information and Library Science Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, moderated the “From Data to Advocacy” session at the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions’ (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in August. Vargha, who has a long history of leadership with IFLA, currently chairs its Statistics and Evaluation Section.

A recent American Libraries feature story on the conference highlighted Vargha’s session. During “From Data to Advocacy: Using Digital Tools Like the IFLA Library Map of the World to Communicate Your Library Stories,” librarians from around the globe shared examples of how they have used the online toolkit to demonstrate the impact of their programming to stakeholders.
