Developing Materials for Music Education
Congratulations to Assistant Professor William (Willie) Payne on receiving an Arts and Humanities Research Grant! He and his team will develop tactile graphics (raised line prints) to teach music concepts to visually impaired learners.
Payne’s research focuses on how technology can facilitate creative expression and open pathways for individuals to express themselves on their own terms.
He teaches design for accessibility, helping students explore design interventions that can be used by people with diverse sensory, motor, and cognitive abilities.
