Students must be nominated by their department in order to apply for the Certificate in Applied Data Science (CADS) program.
Enrollment of undergraduate students is currently limited to those majoring or minoring in academic units that have established partnership agreements with SILS:
- City and Regional Planning
- Environment, Ecology, and Energy
- Political Science
Student pursuing majors in information science, computer science, or statistics are not eligible, as these degrees are already considered data intensive.
Eligible students should review the certificate program prerequisites and contact their major or minor department to express interest in being nominated. After the department makes the nomination, students will receive an email with full instructions on how to apply. Once the CADS admission committee reviews the applications, accepted students will be notified via email.
