CITAP seeks executive director and program associate

The Center for Information, Technology, and Public Life (CITAP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is searching for outstanding candidates to fill the roles of executive director and program associate.

The Center, which launched in July, includes principal faculty, postdoctoral researchers, master’s, and PhD students from SILS, the Hussman School of Media and Journalism, the Department of Communication within the College of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Law. The Center conducts research designed to further our understanding of the contemporary digital media environment and how it shapes our democracy.

The executive director will provide strategic leadership, collaborate with CITAP principal investigators to determine and realize research and outreach priorities, and represent CITAP’s mission and research to a broad set of audiences including academics, media, and the public. In addition, the director will set development goals, interface with existing and potential funders, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the center.
