Doctoral Student Lan Li Accepted to AIS Entrepreneurial Innovation Fellowship Program

UNC School of Information and Library Science (SILS) third-year doctoral student Lan Li has been accepted into the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Entrepreneurial Innovation Fellowship Program.

AIS’s mission is to serve society through the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of excellence in the practice and study of information systems. AIS is the premier professional association for individuals and organizations who lead the research, teaching, practice, and study of information systems worldwide.

Li is part of the first cohort of AIS’s Entrepreneurial Innovation Fellowship program. The fellowship is intended to support students who focus study and research on entrepreneurial perspectives in all phases and domains of information systems.

Li is currently investigating the ways in which freelancing entrepreneurs within the digital platform economy cope and negotiate with persistent uncertainties and ambiguities that undergird their online freelancing experience.
