Over the next few months, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will be rolling out a new networking and career development platform called HeelsEngage. The UNC School of Information and Library Science welcomes all SILS alums to join the UNC Chapel Hill platform and the SILS private Group within HeelsEngage. Here, alumni can share or search for job postings, network with alums and students across SILS and UNC – Chapel Hill, find career resources, and enroll in a mentorship program for current students that will begin in 2023.

By joining the group, you will have access to:

• Connecting with SILS alumni and students
• Learn about new opportunities and SILS resources
• Participate in the SILS discussion ‘job board’
• Meet with other students and mentors who have similar interests and career goals

What to do when you follow the link: Click the “join” button and your request will be looked over by SILS administrators to be approved. Once approved, you will receive an email message from the platform allowing you access to the SILS private group.
