Biography

Katrina Vernon is the Senior Library Manager for Facilities and Operations for the Wake County Public Library System (WCPL) in Raleigh, NC. She attended George Washington University (D.C.) for her undergrad dual major in French Language and Literature and Electronic Media, and received her Masters in Library Science from UNC-CH in 2008. Katrina has been working in public libraries since 2007, when she completed a field experience at WCPL’s Cameron Village Regional LIbrary (now Oberlin Regional LIbrary). Since then, she has had roles in public service, people management, training and staff development (earning a certificate from NCSU in Teaching, Training and Educational Technology in 2018), policy development and oversight, data analysis, facility management, and safety and security. She is currently part of the Administrative Team of WCPL.
