Information science majors share their experiences in video interviews

Prospective students can get a better idea of what it’s like to major in information science at the UNC School of Information and Library Science (SILS) by watching a series of videos now available on the SILS YouTube channel.

Fourteen current students and recent graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Information Science (BSIS) share their experiences at SILS in the edited video interviews. Topics include studying abroad, conducting original research, and connecting with professors and classmates. Students also discuss how they first learned about the major, their specific areas of interest – including smart cities technology, health informatics, information security, user experience – and their future plans.

The BSIS is currently accepting applications for fall admission to the program. Click here for more information on the curriculum, pre-requisites, and career opportunities. Deadline to apply is March 1.
